Couples Therapy

Many therapists, whether they admit it or not, can be uncomfortable with marital and couples therapy. For me, however, it is one of my greatest passions, strengths, and specialties. I believe that addressing the underlying dynamics of a relationship is key to improving overall connection and intimacy. It’s not just about sex—often, there are other relational issues that impact sexual concerns.

In marriage counseling and couples therapy, I regularly work with issues such as:

  • Communication breakdowns and emotional disconnection

  • Infidelity and betrayal trauma

  • Loss of trust or emotional intimacy

  • Desire discrepancies (when one partner wants more sex than the other)

  • Sexless marriages or intimacy struggles

  • Low sexual desire or dissatisfaction

  • Navigating polyamory and non-traditional relationships

  • Healing from sexual trauma and navigating its effects on the relationship

  • Considering separation or divorce due to deeper relational issues

If these or similar challenges are affecting your marriage or relationship, couples therapy can often provide the support and tools necessary to heal, reconnect, and create the fulfilling partnership you both desire.
